SVAC Annual Meeting on August 11 at 1 PM
The annual meeting will be August 11 at 1 PM at the Church of the Red Rocks which is located at 54 Bowstring off of Highway 179 in Sedona. The annual meeting is usually very well attended and we look forward to seeing as many if you who can attend. Please send me an email if you are going to participate – mjupp10@gmail.com.
We had planned for a guest speaker but it fell through yesterday. As the feedback was pretty even between having a speaker on liability insurance for home studios and taxes on the artist – my current plan is to schedule a meeting in October and have a speaker on both of these topics. Stay tuned!

Artist’s Breakfast
Our next artist’s breakfast will be held at 10 am. on Monday, August 10, in Cottonwood at the Red Rooster Café. After breakfast, we are planning a visit to the El Valle Art Gallery in Jerome. Please join us for interesting conversations and a visit to a new gallery.

28th Annual Flagstaff Open Studio Tour
August 22-23 from 10-5 Sat/10-4 Sunday
Free and open to the public, here is a chance to get out of the heat and see a wide variety of art, giving you the chance to meet local Flagstaff artists and to discover emerging talent in the refreshing mountain air.
The tour includes nearly 40 painters, sculptors, ceramicists, iron-forgers, glass blowers, jewelers, photographers, stained glass, weavers, and hands-on art projects for children.

Asleep at the Wheel at Orpheum Theater, Flagstaff
September 3rd - 7:30 PM
Another great opportunity to get out of the heat and hear some fantastic music at the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Flagstaff. Over the years the Wheel’s members have numbered in the hundreds! So many great singers and players have graced our stages and albums in the band’s history. This concert features some of the earliest and longest standing band members, as well as some of AATW’s newest members who have never been captured on record!

Holiday Sale Sedona Arts Center
December 4-6
This festive exhibit brings together up to 40 talented artists from across the region, each offering a unique selection of work specially curated for the holiday season. Showcasing a wide variety of mediums—including painting, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, book arts, photography, glass, woodwork, and mixed media—this annual event is a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and community spirit.
Who should apply: Artists and makers, 18 years and older, who create beautiful and functional works are welcome to apply. Our goal is to curate a Holiday Market featuring artists working in a variety of media who create unique works of art. All work presented at this event must be handmade and original by the artist presenting and selling.
